The Armor Museum
The Armor Museum has for a long time been closed due partly to Corona and partly because Hans Jørgen Marcussen has chosen to sell his Fire Engine Museum.
In the meantime, Varde Museum has rented the Fire Engine Museum's former premises at Industrivej 18 in Oksbøl, and a new museum will soon see the light of day, as the Artillery Museum from Varde has moved to Industrivej, where it together with the Armor Museum opens its doors under a new name; The Armor and Artillery Museum.
Varde Municipality hopes to be able to open the museum doors on 21 April 2021, depending on the government's next proposal regarding COVID-19.
The Armor and Artillery Museum is a unique military history museum that can show visitors how the armor and artillery have developed in the Danish defense since the Second World War.
We look forward to seeing both former guests and new visitors who are interested in Danish military history.
